Pastor G. Peggy McIntosh, Founder and Pastor Emeritus
After several spirit filled meetings held at the home of Deacon George and Evangelist Peggy McIntosh, a group of nineteen people united in faith believed that the Lord was in the midst.
Through much prayer and fasting, Evangelist McIntosh knew that the Lord was calling her to be a Pastor to this body of believers. God awakened Evangelist Mclntosh at 3:00 AM one morning and said, "Bring my Remnant out of the ashes. The only way that I will remember them, is that you bring them out of the ashes.” Pastor McIntosh followed the instructions of God, and the Remnant Worshippers Ministry was born.
Following God’s guidance, Pastor McIntosh, affectionately known as "Pastor Peggy," organized four prayer meetings across Detroit starting in February 2004. One in the East, West, North, and South sides of the city, fulfilling His assignment by October 2004.
The first church service took place on March 7, 2004, at the Howard Johnson Inn and the first Bible class was held on May 10, 2004, at the Shear Ritz Salon. With God's direction, Pastor Poggy baptized members in the Detroit River. She also conducted services at various locations until the permanent church home was established on Sunday, August 19, 2007, where we are currently located (The Remnant Worshippers Ministry) on 20470 Hubbell St, Detroit, Michigan.
Over the past 20 years, Pastor Peggy has led and protected her congregation and the community. She has organized prayer vigils, seniors computer classes, and even donated homes to families in need. As a board member of the Detroit Branch of the National Action Network, she actively participates in advocating for human, civil, voting and educational rights locally and nationally.
After all that she accomplished, this faithful servant Pastor G. Peggy McIntosh has retired as Pastor of the Remnant Worshippers Ministry. Upon the leading of the Lord, Pastor, Rev. Dr. Eddie Connor was elected to serve as Pastor of The Remnant Worshippers Ministry as of September 1, 2024.
